On June 9, the House Blue-Green Caucus, representing labor and environmental interests, announced a new legislative package aimed at advancing clean energy, creating family-sustaining jobs, and protecting Pennsylvania’s environment.

Chaired by Rep. Elizabeth Fiedler, the caucus seeks to unite labor unions and environmental advocates, promoting bills that incentivize solar development, support clean manufacturing, protect workers from extreme heat, improve electric vehicle infrastructure, and create veteran training programs in sustainability.

The package has broad support from lawmakers, labor leaders, and environmental groups, emphasizing the economic and environmental benefits of a sustainable energy future for Pennsylvania.

The caucus highlighted the state’s low renewable energy ranking and stressed the importance of growing union jobs in the clean energy sector.

This effort continues momentum from last year’s successful 11-bill package, including the Solar for Schools initiative.

For Pennsylvania, the package offers a path to a cleaner economy, affordable energy, and good-paying union jobs.
