A long-standing summer tradition will return to Chautauqua County this Father’s Day weekend as the Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church hosts its annual Yassou Festival.

The two-day event, set for Friday, June 13th from 11:00AM to 10:00PM and Saturday, June 14th from 11:00AM to 9:00PM, offering a taste of Greek culture through traditional food, pastries, music, and dancing. Visitors can also take part in guided church tours and browse a boutique featuring handmade items.

Admission is $3 per person, while children under 12 are admitted free. All proceeds from the festival support the Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church.

Festival organizers say the event is designed to bring people together and share Greek traditions with the wider community.

“This year will be the 41st for the Yassou Festival,” said Alexis Singleton, festival chairperson. “We love opening our doors, sharing our traditions, and giving people something fun and meaningful to do. There is an energy, a sort of magic that happens under the tent when you hear the live band and see the dancers and the costumes. There is so much enthusiasm from the audience that you can't help but feel you are participating in something special.”

The event is open to the public and welcomes residents and visitors of all ages to enjoy a weekend of food, fellowship, and cultural celebration.
