Penn State Behrend’s popular summer program, College for Kids, is back with exciting new courses including storm-chasing, yoga, band, sandcasting, and even a Taylor Swift “Eras”-themed class.

Running through July 25, the program offers hands-on classes for kids ages 6 to 14.

A new “Made in America” course—part of Behrend’s $4.4 million METAL initiative—lets students explore manufacturing through 3D printing, chocolate molds, and more.

“Kids might think they’re just baking or making slime,” said Melanie Ford, director of Youth Education Outreach. “But they’re also learning math and science.”

College for Kids combats summer learning loss while sparking new interests and friendships. Morning and afternoon sessions are still open.
