Senator McCormick Voices Support for Israel Following Airstrikes on Iran

U.S. Senator Dave McCormick (R-PA), chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on the Near East, issued a statement Thursday night expressing support for Israel following its airstrikes on Iran.
“Dina and I are praying for Israel tonight,” McCormick said. “We are praying for the success of Israel’s mission to thwart the world’s largest state sponsor of terror and its pursuit of nuclear weapons.”
McCormick pointed to Iran’s history of destabilizing activities in the Middle East and beyond, and highlighted a recent finding by the International Atomic Energy Agency declaring Iran out of compliance with its nuclear obligations.
“I am grateful to President Trump and his team for trying to achieve this peacefully,” he said. “But… Israel has decided to act and I stand with Israel.”
