Erie’s own Shawn Stratton and Gary Layden played key roles in an incredible victory as Team Bellators claimed first place at the prestigious VNEA International Billiards Tournament in Las Vegas.

The team, led by captain Brian Thompson of Cochranton, went undefeated against a field of 380 teams from around the world—an extraordinary accomplishment.

In addition to winning the international title, the team also took first place in the U.S. national team event, defeating squads from nine other countries.
