More than 2,400 donors came together to raise over $375,000 for 127 nonprofit organizations during this year’s Give Big CHQ event — a 24-hour online fundraiser hosted by the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation.

Now in its eighth year, the event continues to bring local nonprofits critical support to sustain their work.

“Every year we are blown away by the generosity of our community,” said Liz Jones, Community Impact Officer, Chautauqua Region Community Foundation. "It's very heart warming and incredible.”

At the St. Susan Center in Jamestown, donations help keep meals on the table for those in need, and this year will also help their Capital fund.

“We are just so happy to be a part of this event," said Cherie Rowland, Executive Director of the St. Susan Center. “The support from the community means so much to us, it's truly wonderful.”

"The St. Susan Center and our board of directors are so pleased with all of the community support and beyond that we are also very excited for our capital campaign," stated Justin Gould, Event Fundraising and Promotions Chairperson, St. Susan Center. "We are going to change the way Jamestown is fed. Our mission here goes beyond just helping the very basic need for food, at our new building there will be a learning kitchen, and more supports and resources. We want to make sure that everyone knows that we are here and welcome anyone, no matter who or what they are, we are here to help."

Over at the Robert H. Jackson Center, they say this year’s contributions will help them expand outreach and educational programming.

"We have been trying to do more, and offer more for our community, the schools, residents, and our visitors," stated Kristan McMahon, President, Robert H. Jackson Center. "We are so grateful to see that support we give to the community - reflected back to us through the donations that we have received through Give Big CHQ."

Give Big CHQ has raised more than $2 million since launching in 2018, and organizers say they are looking forward to what 2026 will bring.
