‘No Kings’ Rally Draws Hundreds in Peaceful Jamestown Protest

Jamestown, NY - More than 300 people gathered at Dow Park Saturday June 14th, for the “No Kings” rally — a peaceful demonstration against what organizers described as increasing injustices and inequalities under the current presidential administration.
Protesters raised concerns about immigration policies and recent actions by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), calling for reform and accountability. The event featured chants, handmade signs, and impassioned speeches.
“This is a part of a nationwide day of mobilization,” said Justin Hubbard, Jamestown Justice Coalition Coordinator. “We are speaking out against the authoritarian polices of the Trump administration."
"Despite the rain, we had a phenomenal turnout today, peacefully protesting against the policies that Donald Trump has put in place," stated Danny Gonzalez, Democratic candidate for Jamestown City Council. "As a naturalized citizen, these policies deeply impact me and my family. The immigration system is flawed, but what our current administration is doing is not right."
Across the street, a group of Trump supporters held a counter-demonstration in support of the president and his immigration policies.
"I'm here today supporting my president, president Trump," stated Greg, Republican anti-protestor. "So, I am here to counter protest what is happening here - Trump is an elected official, he's not a king."
“The president is doing what needs to be done,” said Nicholas Buziak, Trump Supporter. “So, I am here in support of him and to stand up for him and America."
Despite differing views, both groups remained peaceful throughout the event.
