An update from Erie Insurance, dealing with that network wide systems outage and confirmed information security event for a week now.

In a statement, the insurance giant said, they are making strong and steady progress.  Their teams alongside leading cuber-security experts are working around the clock to restore access for customers, agents and employees.

Spokesman Matt Cummings said, "We're confident in our actions, but this work is complex and takes time."

While the outage and protective measures continue, Erie said its agents, claims, and customer care teams are still supporting customers.
