Young hockey players from Ukraine are back in Erie for the third year in a row.

They've already hit the ice and are hard at work as they practiced their skills at LECOM Sports Park Tuesday.

It's part of the Ukrainian Hockey Camp and Culture Exchange.

Ukrainian hockey players and their coaches will be here for three weeks. They arrived in the country a few days ago.

Erie Otters forward Brendan Sellan is the director of the camp.

The kids love Erie, he said, so they keep coming back.

"They love the people here…the culture that surrounds Erie and the people really love hockey here,” he said. “So it really makes for a smooth transition for them.”
