FreshRealm is recalling several chicken fettuccine alfredo products due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, a potentially deadly bacterium.

The affected ready-to-eat meals were sold at Walmart and Kroger stores nationwide under the Marketside and Home Chef brands. They include:

•32.8 oz. and 12.3 oz. Marketside Grilled Chicken Alfredo (best by 6/27/25 and earlier)

•12.5 oz. Home Chef Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo (best by 6/19/25 and earlier)

The recall comes after 17 illnesses, three deaths, and one fetal loss linked to the outbreak strain.

While the tainted batch identified in March never entered stores, the USDA is urging consumers to throw out or return any affected products still in their refrigerators or freezers.

FreshRealm products in question are marked with establishment numbers EST. P-50784, EST. P-47770, or EST. P-47718 near the USDA inspection label.

Listeriosis can be particularly dangerous for older adults, people with weakened immune systems, and pregnant women.

Anyone experiencing flu-like symptoms after consuming these products should seek medical attention.
