Community of Caring Collecting Bottled Water for Erie's Homeless Ahead of Heat Wave

With an upcoming heat wave forecasted for the Erie region, Community of Caring is urging the public to help protect the city’s most vulnerable residents by donating cases of bottled water.
Donations will be used to stock a cooler set up on the sidewalk in front of the organization’s building at 245 E 8th Street, where those experiencing homelessness can grab a cold drink as they pass by or come in for a meal.
“Access to cold, clean water is critical—especially during extreme heat,” said Chris Tombaugh of Community of Caring. “We’re asking the community to step up and help us keep people hydrated and safe in the days ahead.”
Donations can be dropped off at any time.
