Les Crago Jewelers Closes Its Doors After 75 Years of Serving Erie
As summer begins, a local legacy is coming to a close.
Les Crago Jewelers, a family-owned fixture in the Colony Plaza, will celebrate its final day in business Saturday, marking the end of an incredible 75-year run.
Owners Stephen and Robyn Crago are officially retiring after decades of helping Erie residents commemorate life’s special moments.
The couple began working at the store in 1975, taking over the business from Stephen’s father, Lieutenant Les Crago, who opened the shop after returning home from World War II.
For generations, Les Crago Jewelers has been more than a jewelry store, it has been a trusted name in craftsmanship, service, and community connection.
Their retirement marks the end of an era cherished by many in the Erie area.
