“We continue to make strong and steady progress toward resuming normal business operations,” the company stated. “After a thorough review of all systems—conducted by both our internal teams and trusted external partners—we have safely and securely reconnected several business systems and applications.”
The company emphasized that the outage, which was initiated as a proactive measure, was successful in disrupting and helping contain the threat.
“At this time, there is no evidence of ransomware and no indication of ongoing threat actor activity,” Erie Insurance confirmed.
