Bizzarro Helps Deliver Millions Back to Pennsylvanians Through Money Match Program
State Rep. Ryan Bizzarro (D-Erie) joined Treasurer Stacy Garrity and Senators Frank Farry and Scott Hutchinson to announce the second wave of Pennsylvania Money Match checks, totaling more than $9.2 million, have been mailed out to residents across the state.
The Money Match program, championed by Bizzarro and passed unanimously by the General Assembly last year, allows the Pennsylvania Treasury to automatically return unclaimed property to its rightful owners, no application necessary.
Bizzarro encourages Pennsylvanians to check their mail and cash these real checks as soon as possible.
“This is about making government work smarter for the people,” said Bizzarro. “It’s their money and now it’s finally being returned to them, without red tape.”
Treasurer Garrity echoed the call to action: “Every dollar we return helps someone buy groceries, pay bills, or fill their gas tank. This is real money, and we don’t want it left sitting unclaimed.”
The bipartisan initiative is part of a broader effort to streamline services and make sure Pennsylvanians reap the full benefits of programs they’re entitled to.
