ServErie Summer Project Kicks Off; Volunteers Still Needed for Community Clean Up Initiative
ServErie and Grace Church have launched the 2025 ServErie Summer Project, a two-day citywide effort to beautify local schools, parks, and neighborhoods through light labor and landscaping work.
Taking place June 25–26 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., the event begins at St. Luke’s Catholic School on East 38th Street, with volunteers dispersing to dozens of sites across Erie.
Community members are invited to walk in and join the effort or sign up in advance at ServErie.com.
Volunteers will assist with yard work, tree and shrub trimming, park maintenance, litter pickup, painting, and other light tasks.
Organizers say hundreds of volunteers are still needed to complete the ambitious initiative.
The project supports Erie Community Schools and local organizations committed to neighborhood transformation.
“ServErie isn’t just about cleaning up, it's about connecting people with purpose,” said Kerrie Grande, Program Director. “Forty percent of repeat participants go on to serve elsewhere in the Erie community, and that’s the kind of ripple effect we hope to see.”
Participants can join as individuals or bring work teams, church groups, or friends. All ages and skill levels are welcome.
