PA Chamber to NYC Employers: 'Come to Pennsylvania'
The Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry is making a bold pitch to New York City employers: bring your business to the Keystone State.
In a new 60-second video released this week, PA Chamber President and CEO Luke Bernstein delivers a pointed message following New York’s Democratic mayoral primary.
“We just heard that you might have a new mayor who happens to be a socialist,” Bernstein says. “Meanwhile, here in Pennsylvania, we’ve been doing something pretty radical, too, lowering taxes, streamlining our permitting, and making affordable, clean energy accessible to our businesses.”
The video contrasts Pennsylvania’s recent pro-business reforms with what Bernstein calls a “political shift” in New York.
He touts the Commonwealth’s bipartisan tax reductions, regulatory improvements, and energy policies as incentives for companies seeking a more business friendly climate.
“While your state was banning gas stoves,” Bernstein adds, “our state was passing meaningful, bipartisan reforms to help businesses grow.”
The video ends with a direct invitation: “If you’re wondering what it’s like to do business in a state that actually wants you here, give us a call.”
The Chamber’s outreach marks another chapter in Pennsylvania’s effort to attract companies and talent from neighboring states by promoting cost-effective policies and a more predictable business environment.
