The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that all driver license and photo centers will be closed on Friday, July 4, 2025, in observance of Independence Day.

Although physical locations will be closed, PennDOT’s online services remain available 24/7 at www.dmv.pa.gov.

Customers can access a wide range of driver and vehicle services including:

   •Driver’s license and photo ID renewals

   •Vehicle registration renewals

   •Driver-history services

   •Address changes

   •Duplicate license or ID requests

   •REAL ID pre-verification

   •Driver exam scheduling

   •Restoration letters and fee payments

There are no additional fees for using online services.

If you plan to visit a local Online Messenger Service Center, PennDOT advises calling ahead to confirm holiday hours.
