Class Act Emerging Leaders Honored at Banquet
A night of recognition and celebration spotlighted some of Northwest Pennsylvania’s most outstanding high school students during the Class Act Emerging Leader Banquet.
Held in honor of student achievement and community impact, the event brought together nominees from across Erie, Warren, and Crawford Counties.
Throughout the school year, Erie News Now’s Eva Mastromatteo visited classrooms to surprise the selected students with a $1,200 scholarship as part of the monthly Class Act program.
These students were chosen not only for their academic success, but also for their leadership, character, and dedication to service.
One standout of the evening was Finn Jensen, a graduating senior from Fairview High School, who was awarded a $5,500 scholarship after winning an essay contest open to all Class Act nominees.
Organizers say the awards are about more than grades, they’re a celebration of the future leaders being shaped in classrooms across the region.
“These students represent the best of what our communities have to offer,” said one organizer. “Their commitment to learning, kindness, and leadership is inspiring.”
The Class Act Emerging Leader Awards continue to serve as a meaningful reminder of the impact young people can have in both their schools and hometowns.
