The Audubon Community Nature Center is inviting young nature lovers to explore pond life at its Little Explorers program on Saturday, July 12, from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

Designed for children ages 3 to 8, the program includes a brief indoor lesson followed by hands-on exploration of the ponds outside.

Participants will learn about fish, turtles, tadpoles, insects and the many organisms that call the pond home.

Kids will use nets and containers to take a closer look at macroinvertebrates like snails and worms.

The event includes a snack and, if time allows, a nature-themed craft.

The program runs rain or shine, and participants are encouraged to dress for the weather.

Cost is $12 for adults and $9 for children or Nature Center members. Space is limited to 15 children and 30 total participants.

Reservations are required by Thursday, July 10, by calling (716) 569-2345 or visiting AudubonCNC.org/events.
