The Little Italy Farmers Market opened for the summer season on Monday.

The Sisters of Saint Joseph has organized this event for years.

Residents from the west side neighborhoods could browse different local vendors and purchase fresh produce. This market gives Erie residents easy access to fresh and affordable food.

The location changed from last year to this year. The farmer's market is now located at three sisters park on West 19th Street between Walnut and Chestnut Streets. Twelve vendors will be setting up shop every week.

The Sisters of Saint Joseph Little Italy Farmers Market happens every Monday from three until six through the end of September.
