The North East Community Marina Authority has taken a key step toward taking ownership of the North East Marina, signing an official Agreement of Sale with the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission.

The agreement, signed on Friday, June 27, has been submitted for review and signatures by officials within the Commission and the Commonwealth.

A formal deed for the marina property has already been received by the Authority and is now under final review alongside a full title search of all parcels in the marina complex.

While the Authority is preparing for the closing, the Fish and Boat Commission has stated that the marina must remain closed until the sale is officially finalized in compliance with regulatory rules.

The North East Community Marina Authority says it is ready to move forward as soon as a closing date is confirmed and plans to provide updates to the public once that timeline is set.
