Former U.S. Army Special Forces Green Beret Michael Taylor was one of the first Americans to fight against Hezbollah in the Middle East in the 1980s.

Taylor explained that while a ceasefire deal between Israel and Iran was agreed upon, trusting Iran may not be the wisest move as their government has a history of not keeping its word.

He described how fighting Hezbollah is different from fighting Hamas, while also explaining some of the challenges the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) is running into in the Gaza Strip.

On Tuesday night, President Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social:

"My Representatives had a long and productive meeting with the Israelis today on Gaza. Israel has agreed to the necessary conditions to finalize the 60 Day CEASEFIRE, during which time we will work with all parties to end the War. The Qataris and Egyptians, who have worked very hard to help bring Peace, will deliver this final proposal. I hope, for the good of the Middle East, that Hamas takes this Deal, because it will not get better — IT WILL ONLY GET WORSE. Thank you for your attention to this matter!"
