The Jamestown Campground Beach and Jamestown Main Beach are closed effective immediately due to water quality concerns, according to park officials.

The closure is expected to remain in place through the Fourth of July weekend.

While these closures impact two of the park’s most popular swimming areas, officials confirmed that other beaches in the park remain open, including:

   Beach 2 (Jamestown) – a smaller beach near the Jamestown Marina

   Tuttle Beach (Espyville)

   Linesville Beach

   Andover Beach (Ohio side)

Park staff apologized for the inconvenience and emphasized that the decision was made out of an abundance of caution to protect public health.
