AHN to Go Cashless for Medical Services Starting July 7
Allegheny Health Network (AHN) announced it will transition to card-only payments for all medical services beginning July 7, 2025.
The policy change applies to all AHN hospitals, urgent care centers, doctor’s offices, and other medical facilities.
Patients will be required to use credit or debit cards, including health savings accounts (HSA) and flexible spending accounts (FSA), to pay for care.
Cash and checks will no longer be accepted for medical services at AHN locations.
However, AHN clarified that cash may still be accepted at non-medical areas within its facilities, such as parking lots, cafeterias, vending machines, and gift shops.
Patients are encouraged to plan accordingly and may visit MyChart or contact their provider’s office for billing support or payment questions.
