Donald Lambing said he’s one of the lucky ones. He has water in his home.

“But there are a few other people in this park [who] don’t have running water in their house,” he said.

He lives in Tri-State Mobile Home Park. It’s on Tacki Dr. off West 12th St. in Millcreek.

He had water when he moved there in 2018. Now, he doesn’t use it much.

“I only shower with it. I do not drink it and I do not prepare meals with it,” he said.

He has had to spend money to buy water. That is on top of the water bill he pays every month.

“I can afford it and sustain this situation for a while, but I don’t think too many of these other tenants are going to be able to sustain that when you have people [who] are on fixed incomes here,” he said.

He said the water leaks into the ground before it makes it to the trailers in the park.

“I can’t see how water leaking [into] the ground and then coming into our trailers is good,” he said.

Another person who lives in the park said he hasn’t had any water since October. He didn’t want to go on camera.

That man and Lambing both said management doesn’t want to fix the problem.

“They said they’re not going to fix these pipes or anything because it’s cheaper for them to charge us for the water usage instead of actually paying a plumber to come in and dig it up,” Lambing said.

He’s reached out to several politicians for help but hasn’t gotten any.

Now, he’s taking property management to court.

“We have the right to clean, drinkable water. They’re charging us for it. But we’re not getting what we are paying for,” he said.

We called one of the property managers, Melissa Matha. She said, “I have no comment due to the lies.”
