Jamestown Tarp Skunks to Host Free First Responders & Healthcare Appreciation Night on July 17
Live CHQ and the Jamestown Tarp Skunks are teaming up to honor local heroes with a free community night at Russell E. Diethrick Park on Thursday, July 17, 2025.
The event, themed “A Salute to Chautauqua County’s First Responders and Healthcare Professionals,” will offer free admission to all attendees for the Tarp Skunks’ home game against the Niagara Ironbacks.
Highlights include:
•Free admission for all fans
•Touch-a-truck event with first responder vehicles (starts at 5 p.m.)
•Meet & greet with Tarp Skunks mascot Whiffy
•Information tables from local fire departments and healthcare organizations
•Live CHQ frisbee giveaway for the first 500 fans
•First pitch ceremony honoring all first responders in attendance
“This is our way of saying thank you to those who work tirelessly to keep us safe and healthy,” said Mark Geise, Deputy County Executive for Economic Development and CCIDA CEO.
Free tickets can be picked up at the ballpark on game night, at participating fire and EMS stations, or at CCIDA offices in Jamestown and Dunkirk. First responder groups can also call the team directly at 716-705-5600 for ticket arrangements.
