After a successful turnout at its 7th Annual Donor Appreciation Day on May 16, the Community Blood Bank (CBB) is hitting the road to continue thanking the selfless individuals who help save lives through local blood donations.

The original celebration at the Erie Donor Center featured food trucks, music, and giveaways to spotlight the impact local donors have on patient care throughout northwestern Pennsylvania and southwestern New York.

Now, CBB is expanding that appreciation with regional "On the Road" events designed to reach even more donors where they are. According to Raven Edinger, NWPA Mobile Drive Coordinator, the move aims to bring the energy and gratitude of the Erie event to communities across the service area.

The timing is critical: summer months typically see a steep decline in blood donations due to vacations and school closures, while demand for blood remains steady. These events help raise awareness and recognize donors during a season when every contribution is especially vital.
