The Parker Foundation has stepped up as the first Corporate Partner for Erie High School, committing $225,000 to support the school’s Community School initiative through United Way of Erie County.

The funding, announced July 1, marks a major milestone in United Way’s effort to build a Corporate Partner Coalition to expand vital services for Erie High students and families.

The grant, distributed over two years, will help remove barriers to learning by enhancing access to behavioral health services, dental and vision care, hygiene items, clothing, and more. These wraparound supports are part of United Way’s Community School Model, which coordinates resources to boost student well-being and academic success.

“This initiative was a remarkable opportunity to help advance education in Erie and aligns with our Foundation’s commitment to fostering an environment where every student can thrive,” said Andy Winzenz, general manager of Parker Lord.

A ceremonial check presentation was held at Parker Lord’s Erie facility, where representatives from the Parker Foundation, United Way, and Erie High gathered to celebrate the launch of the new partnership.
