From the water to the sand to the diamond, Erie will be buzzing with sports activity this weekend as the region welcomes four major amateur events, drawing athletes and families from across the Northeast.

The Keystone Bass Buddies Circuit returns to Presque Isle State Park on Saturday, July 12, launching from West Pier Marina at 7 a.m. Anglers from across Pennsylvania are expected to compete in the all-day event, with final check-in at 3 p.m. “Our circuit has been coming to Erie for over 30 years,” said organizer Douglas Beck. “Anglers not only love fishing Lake Erie and Presque Isle Bay, but they also enjoy the community’s hospitality and local businesses.”

Meanwhile, Beach 11 at Presque Isle will serve as the stage for the 25th annual Don’t Give Up the Disc – Beach Ultimate tournament, hosted by Erie Ultimate League Enterprises. Sixteen teams from across Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois, Ontario, West Virginia and New York will begin pool play at 4 p.m. Saturday, followed by a highlight reel worthy layout competition. Bracket play kicks off Sunday at 9 a.m. and wraps at 2 p.m.

On land, the 23rd Annual Millcreek Summer Sizzler Baseball Tournament (15U) swings into action at the McDowell High School Hanlon Athletic Complex, starting Friday at 5 p.m. Games continue throughout the weekend, with Sunday’s championship game scheduled for 11:30 a.m. The series continues into August with additional age divisions at the David Long Complex.

Also hitting the field this weekend is the Jesse Triana Memorial Tournament, hosted by North East Little League at the Denny Lowes Memorial Complex. Each participating team is guaranteed at least three games, fostering community spirit and honoring local youth baseball traditions.
