A $2.7 million resurfacing project is set to begin next week in the Edinboro area, improving more than 6.5 miles of roadway in both the Borough of Edinboro and Washington Township, Erie County.
Starting July 21, construction will begin on Route 699 (Erie Street), followed by work on Route 6N (Route 3006). The project includes:

4.03 miles of Route 699, from Old State Road (Route 3014) in Washington Township to Route 6N in Edinboro
Improvements will include milling and repaving, installation of ADA-compliant curb ramps, upgraded drainage and guiderail systems, new roadway markers, and fresh line painting.
The contractor for the project is Joseph McCormick Construction Company, Inc. of Erie. The total contract cost is $2,786,138.34, fully funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Drivers are advised to expect lane restrictions, shifting traffic patterns, and potential delays throughout the duration of the work, which is expected to wrap up by October 2025, weather permitting.
