Rainbow Bridge Pet Memorial Coming to Millcreek
Pets become family and their death can be devastating. A local woman created a unique way for people to memorialize their pets and help a local animal shelter.
Debbie Garcia lost her mom last year. Garcia says her mom loved animals and she wanted to honor her mom. With approval from Millcreek Township leaders, Garcia plans to transform a section of Scott Park into a memorial for pets who have passed. The Rainbow Memorial Pet Project will be a place for people to come and think fondly of the furry family members. People are able to purchase bricks that will be engraved with a message. A portion of the proceeds from the memorial bricks will be donated to A.N.N.A shelter. The shelter is a nonprofit organization that has a no kill policy and open admission.
This is a community effort that needs contributions to help make the Rainbow Bridge possible. Contributions to the park can be made in various ways.
Alongside sponsorship tiers, items can be made to help build the garden. Needs include lumber, building supplies for the bridge and paint supplies. For more information visit this website https://www.erierainbowbridge.com/
