Clarendon, PA - The Warren County Children's Advocacy Center will be hosting it's first-ever 5k run and walk to raise funds for future initiatives, including a new building site.

The event, called It Takes a Village, will take place Friday, July 26th at Chapman State Park in Clarendon, PA, with the race starting at 8:00AM. Registration is $30.00 and includes a commemorative t-shirt.

The family-friendly race is also dog-friendly, and the center's own service dog Tiger, will be on site to greet participants. Music and other entertainment will be available throughout the event.

"We were very lucky to connect with some amazing sponsors - so all proceeds from the race will be going directly towards the programming at the center," stated  Katelyn Hecei, Family Advocate at the Warren County Children’s Advocacy Center. "We are very excited to do something different this year and will hopefully be able to continue it as an annual fundraiser for us."

Registration and more information for the event can be found on the Warren County Children's Advocacy Center's Facebook page, here
