The Pennsylvania Chamber Foundation has unveiled the recipients of its “Greatest Places to Intern in PA” awards, recognizing standout employers across the state who offer top-tier internship experiences. Among this year’s honorees is Erie Insurance, a major employer headquartered in Erie, Pennsylvania.

These awards spotlight organizations that create meaningful internship opportunities, giving students practical career experience while helping to build a stronger statewide workforce pipeline.

“Congratulations to these employers for offering world-class internships that are preparing students for careers across Pennsylvania,” said PA Chamber Foundation President Luke Bernstein. “They are helping ensure our state remains a top destination for skilled talent.”

Research from the Strada Education Foundation shows that paid internships are closely tied to better post-graduation outcomes, including higher starting salaries and improved job confidence. The PA Chamber Foundation’s Keystone Initiative outlines internships as a critical component for Pennsylvania’s long-term economic growth and talent retention strategy.

Erie Insurance joins more than 50 other businesses and organizations named as 2025 award recipients. The company is known for its robust internship and leadership development programs, offering students real-world experience in a variety of fields, from IT and finance to marketing and risk management.

The full list of recipients includes statewide leaders like DICK’S Sporting Goods, Crayola, PPL, and Geisinger, among others.

A public press conference honoring all awardees will be held Thursday, July 31 at 1:30 p.m. on the steps of the Pennsylvania Capitol Building in Harrisburg. Speakers will include representatives from the PA Chamber, Governor Josh Shapiro’s administration, and participating interns.
