Gas prices in Western Pennsylvania have held steady this week, according to the latest AAA East Central Gas Price Report, with the average price per gallon sitting at $3.351, just slightly below last week’s average of $3.359.

In Erie, drivers are paying an average of $3.259 per gallon, keeping the local price below the regional and state averages. That’s also down significantly from this time last year, when the local average was well above $3.70 per gallon.

Nationally, gas prices are also remaining consistent. The average price for a gallon of regular sits at $3.14, unchanged from the previous week and 37 cents lower than this time last year.

The national average cost of electricity at public EV charging stations remained stable this past week at 36 cents per kilowatt hour, showing no fluctuation in line with the stable gas prices.

With no major disruptions expected in crude oil supply or refinery production, AAA projects a continued period of stable fuel prices good news for both gas and EV drivers during the peak of the summer travel season.
