Gannon University and PennWest Edinboro will take center court this November as co-hosts of the 2025 CCA Women’s DII Tip-Off Classic, one of the most prestigious early season tournaments in Division II women’s basketball.

Held November 7–9 at Gannon’s Highmark Events Center and Edinboro’s McComb Fieldhouse, the event will feature 12 games across the weekend, with each venue hosting six matchups.

They’ll welcome an elite national field that includes Minnesota State-Mankato (2024 national champions), Union University and Ferris State (both Final Four programs), as well as Northern Michigan, North Georgia, and PennWest California.

“It’s going to be a special weekend right here in Erie,” said Callie Wheeler, Edinboro’s head coach. “The caliber of competition speaks to the depth and talent of DII women’s basketball.”

Gannon’s head coach Cleve Wright echoed that excitement. “We’re proud to welcome top teams from across the country to Erie, our campus and community.”
