The New York State Department of Transportation is alerting drivers to a series of closures on the Interstate 86 bridge over Chautauqua Lake, as part of an ongoing reconstruction project.

Closures will affect both eastbound and westbound traffic at various times between Thursday, July 31 and Friday, August 8.

Eastbound Closures:

   •Thursday, July 31: 9 p.m. – 6 a.m. (Aug. 1)

   •Friday, August 1: 11 p.m. – 6 a.m. (Aug. 2)

   •Sunday, August 3: 11 p.m. – 6 a.m. (Aug. 4)

   •Monday, August 4: 9 p.m. – 6 a.m. (Aug. 5)

   •Wednesday, August 6: 3 a.m. – 6 a.m.

   •Friday, August 8: 3 a.m. – 6 a.m.

Westbound Closures:

   •Thursday, July 31: 9 p.m. – 6 a.m. (Aug. 1)

   •Monday, August 4: 9 p.m. – 6 a.m. (Aug. 5)

Motorists are advised to use the posted detour via State Routes 394 and 430 and plan ahead to avoid delays.
