The Wayne, Pennsylvania-based company said it had net income of $2.77 per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $3.73 per share.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 13 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $3.36 per share.

The medical equipment maker posted revenue of $780.9 million in the period, also topping Street forecasts. Twelve analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $771.1 million.

Teleflex expects full-year earnings in the range of $13.90 to $14.30 per share.
