Film Erie has officially relaunched under a unified brand, merging the Film Society of Northwestern Pennsylvania and the Greater Erie Film Office. Backed by Erie Arts & Culture and ECGRA, the rebrand aims to strengthen the regional film ecosystem and spotlight filmmaking in northwestern Pennsylvania.

As part of the relaunch, Film Erie is introducing FILM 10|20, a new weekly film series presented in partnership with The 10|20 Collective. Curated by Erie-based filmmaker John C. Lyons, the series will explore themes of empathy, cruelty, and connection. Screenings will be held every Wednesday starting September 3 and running through November, with food, drinks, and conversation included. Tickets are available at tickets.eriereader.com.

Another major highlight is the return of the Eerie Horror Fest, set for October 10–11. The beloved genre film festival will feature screenings, workshops, and immersive experiences that celebrate horror and the supernatural. More details are available at eeriehorrorfest.com.

Film Erie is also participating in Erie Gives Day on August 12, with a goal of raising $5,500 to support both the organization and the Horror Fest. Donations of $25 or more will receive a prorated match. Supporters can give at eriegives.org by selecting Film Erie.
