Rob Eccleston served as an Infantry Captain in the U.S. Army.

He was assigned to the U.S. Army Mountain Warfare School and taught survivor skills to all branches of the U.S. Military.

During his spare time in the Military, Rob studied Sculpture.

In 1993, he decided to pursue a career as a Sculptor.

For the past 16 years, he has specialized in creating sculptures for Veterans and Civic Memorials.

His next major program involves the 1980 U.S.A. Gold Medal winning hockey team.

He will sculpt the 1980 Monument to a Miracle, depicting the 1980 on the medal podium.

His goal is to have the project completed before February of 2030.

The date marking the 50th anniversary of the Miracle on Ice in Lake Placid, N.Y.

The non-profit "Friends of the 1980 Miracle on Ice Hockey Team, hopes to raise five million dollars over the next five years to fund the project.
