Video Shows Erie Police Officers Pull Man Out of Vehicle
New video shows an altercation between Erie Police officers and an Erie man, William Arrington, being pulled out of a vehicle.
According to the Erie Police Department, the incident happened around the 2600 block of Cherry Street Wednesday evening, when they observed Arrington, a known wanted person, in a vehicle.
They then pulled the vehicle over and attempted to take him into custody.
Police said that Arrington would not comply to exit the vehicle to be placed under arrest.
Arrington, though, told Erie News Now that he and his family were on their way to store when police pulled them over.
Arrington said police then, approached the vehicle and called by the wrong name, asking him if his name was, "Willie Pulliam."
Arrington said because of that and having his grandchild in the backseat, he refused to get out of the car, which led to the officers pulling him out.
After the altercation, Arrington was then taken to the police station before being taken to UPMC Hamot, where police then let him go.
