Celebrate Erie continued in Downtown Erie with Gym Class Heroes taking the stage on Saturday night.

But before the music, it was all about family fun and good food. Before noon, live music filled State Street as people enjoyed Celebrate Erie.

Justin Lazarz from Park's Taekwondo said, "It's interesting to see all different people from all walks of life and to see them be excited and be out."

Saturday consisted of vendors, food, and performances, new and old. Frank Franschetti, the Co-owner of MP Coney Island said he's enjoying being here for the first year,  "Because we are up on Sterrteraina, it's nice to come down here, Downtown, and it's just good being in the community and if figured it would be a good spot for us."

From face painting to forecasting, children could enjoy a range of activities. Performances weren't just limited to musical numbers, there was also dance numbers and unique performances like Taekwondo.

Students from Park's Taekwondo performed on one of the numerous stages spread throughout State Street.  "All these people that come over to Celebrate Erie, it's also great to spread the art of Taekwondo and show people what we do and show our skills and what we work on all year long", explained Lazarz.

Owners of new food trucks got to see the benefits of participating in the three day event. "Even if we go somewhere and we sit, it's good to be anytime someone is driving by and they see the truck and learning the brand. I think it helps everybody", said Franschetti.

Celebrate Erie continues Sunday.
