Erie Artists Collective to Host 100th Theatrical Production

The Performing Artists Collective Alliance (PACA) will host its 100th theatrical production, Green Day's American Idiot.
"Tony Award-winning rock musical brings the music of Green Day to life in a bold and timely story about identity, rebellion, and the search for meaning in a post-9/11 world," PACA said in a statement.
The show follows three friends whose paths diverge as they navigate changes in life. Their story is told almost entirely through music, including every song from Green Day's American Idiot Album.
“As our 100th production, American Idiot is a perfect embodiment of what PACA stands for — fearless storytelling, creative risk-taking, and an unwavering belief in the power of the arts to challenge and inspire,” Mark Tanenbaum, PACA's executive director, said.
Doors for the first performance open Thursday at 7 p.m. at the PACA Theatre, 1505 State St., Erie, Pa.
The show will then run Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. until Aug. 31.
