Four grocery stores in Erie have been awarded grants to expand their fresh food offerings.

The Food Trust, along with other organizations, is investing $800 thousand in grants across Pennsylvania to give more people access to fresh, affordable food.

The one-time grants are given to stores that sell healthy food in low- and moderate-income communities.

These are the recipients in Erie:

  • Almadina Supermarket
  • Larkin's Market
  • Palace Life Supermarket
  • Trawka's Mom & Pop Grocery

The Pennsylvania Fresh Food Funding Initiative (PA FFFI) is accepting donations for the next round of funding. More information is available here.
