Local Stores Get Money to Sell More Fresh Produce

Four grocery stores in Erie have been awarded grants to expand their fresh food offerings.
The Food Trust, along with other organizations, is investing $800 thousand in grants across Pennsylvania to give more people access to fresh, affordable food.
The one-time grants are given to stores that sell healthy food in low- and moderate-income communities.
These are the recipients in Erie:
- Almadina Supermarket
- Larkin's Market
- Palace Life Supermarket
- Trawka's Mom & Pop Grocery
The Pennsylvania Fresh Food Funding Initiative (PA FFFI) is accepting donations for the next round of funding. More information is available here.
