How Veterans Are Healing Through Water
Some local veterans are getting the chance to heal by learning how to fly fish.
They gathered to learn the skills Wednesday in North East.
It's through a nonprofit called Project Healing Waters.
It uses the power of nature and fly fishing to help veterans heal from visible and invisible wounds.
When you’re in the service, you have so many different people who have come together for a like cause,” Program Lead Craig Brandick said. “Once you return to the world as it were, you find that [there aren’t] many people who have had the same experiences.
The group also meets in Girard. There are about 20 veterans involved.
