It’s the last hurrah for roller coasters, cotton candy, and splashdowns. Waldameer Park and Water World is wrapping up another summer of memories.

“We were nervous at the end of June. It was wet and cold, but summer came July 1. It seems like since then, we’ve had a great year,” said Brian Gorman.

We spoke with visitors and a ride supervisor about the busiest rides of the 2025 season.

“I would say the Comet is the busiest — it’s just go, go, go all day, no stopping, no brakes. But I definitely think Ravine Flyer II is a close second,” said Alex Bels.

Brian Gorman said, they’re already looking ahead to 2026.

“Summers are great. We love summers in Erie, but we have a lot of work to do in the off-season to get ready for next year. I’m ready to get rolling on our projects,” said Gorman.

Plans are underway for a brand-new waterslide tower, two family raft rides, and a full revamp of the Endless River.

And for those who miss the Paratrooper… the wait is over.

As Gorman told Erie News Now — the ride will no longer be retired. It’s coming back.

“Coming back here is like memories,” said Nasir Abu-Zebibe.

So, while the gates may be closing for now — the excitement is far from over.

“We’ve been here since we were just little kids. We’re number one fans,” said Emmor Thomas.
