Majengo Children's Home to Host Golf Scramble in Warren
Warren, PA - Preparations are underway in Warren County for the 5th annual Majengo Children’s Home charity golf scramble.
The event will be held at the Conewango Valley Country Club on September 21st, with tee-off at 1:00PM and dinner scheduled for 7:00PM.
The Majengo Children’s Home was co-founded in 2008 by Warren native Matt Mckissock, and provides shelter, food, and basic care for children in Tanzania, many of whom were orphaned or made homeless due to HIV/AIDs.
Proceeds from the golf scramble go directly to supporting humanitarian efforts and aid for these children.
"We are extremely excited here at the Conewango Valley County Club to be hosting the 5th annual Majengo tournament to benefit children in Tanzania," stated Terry Stiltner, Conewango Valley County Club, Golf Pro. "With the help of Rick Bruster and many other volunteers, we are very excited and ready for it."
"We are very happy to be teaming up with the Conewango Valley County Club to hold this event," added Stacey Ludwig, Warren Majengo Foundation. "It's going to be a great day for a great cause, so we are really hoping that we will get a full golf course to come out and support our mission and to have some fun with us."
Registration for the event is currently open and can be found on the Majengo Children's Home's website, here and Facebook page.
