Essay Submissions Open for 2026 National Civics Bee

The application period is now open for middle school students to begin submitting essays for the 2026 National Civics Bee Pennsylvania State Finals.
The National Civics Bee is a nonpartisan competition led by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation that encourages students to engage in civics.
“The National Civics Bee is an incredibly rewarding initiative with the power to transform students into community leaders who positively impact their peers and the world around them,” PA Chamber Foundation President Luke Bernstein said. “With America 250 on the horizon, there’s never been a more meaningful time to inspire the next generation to become active, engaged members of their communities."
All students in 6th, 7th, or 8th grade in Pennsylvania can apply. They must apply by Feb. 3.
Participation is free. Local finalists will advance to the state finals at a location to be announced.
