An Erie shelter will have 28 new animals up for adoption after assisting Pennsylvania State Police in removing them from a home.

"2 dogs, 2 cats and 24 birds are all being processed and prepped for adoption," the ANNA Shelter said in a Facebook post.

Some of the birds are exotic and will need people who have experience taking care of them.

The shelter hopes to have the animals ready for adoption by the end of the week.
