Former President Obama Speaks in Erie
It was a conversation with former President Barack Obama that brought a sold-out crowd to the Erie Insurance Arena Tuesday.
Nearly 8 thousand listened in to the more than hour-long event.
The 44th president was asked questions on stage by Erie, Pa. native and longtime journalist Steve Scully.
Ahead of the event, long lines formed as people made their way in.
When inside, they listened to the thoughts of the former President, covering issues including political violence and the future impact of artificial intelligence.
"The takeaway from tonight was to be kind and useful. Those are some of the words he used for us to give back to the youth and give the message to them," attendee Whitney said.
"I can say that I was hanging on every word he said. He has a way of being so eloquent and being very punctual,” attendee David said.
