Warren Midtown Motors Joins Nationwide Food Drive to Fight Hunger

Warren, PA – Across the nation, Ford dealerships are collecting food and monetary donations to help fight food insecurity. From now through the end of the month, Warren Midtown Motors is joining the effort locally, partnering with Second Harvest Food Bank and the Saint Joseph Soup Kitchen.
General Manager Kevin Ruttenburger said the dealership wanted to make a real impact in the community.
“Ford Motor Company has challenged all of its Ford dealers, across the nation, to help local soup kitchens and food drives,” he said. "They challenged us to collect 400 pounds, but we are going to try to get 800lbs. We have had a great turnout from the community so far and are very happy to be able to help out people in our community, right here in Warren."
"It really does mean a lot to us that the food we receive stays local," added Business manager Jenny Decker. "People may not know or realize, but there is a great need for help right here in Warren. It's really good to see so many people coming out to help and support those people in need."
Proceeds and food from the drive at Warren Midtown Motors will be benefiting the Saint Joseph Soup Kitchen, who has served the Warren community for more than 30 years.
Volunteers say demand has increased significantly, with more than 200 meals served just last week — nearly three times the number prepared when the kitchen first opened.
The food drive runs through September 30th. Donations can be dropped off at Warren Midtown Motors at their location on 1995 Market Street, Warren PA.
